Mark your calendar for these great events happening this March at the Gardner-Harvey Library!





Build a Terrarium
Wednesday, March 5th, 12-2pm - GRD 014 TEC SPACE
Live plants, fake plants, rocks, miniatures, all can be used to build your own terrarium. Join us in the library and create your own miniature world. You must RSVP by March 3 to take part in the workshop. Email hicksjl2@miamioh.edu to RSVP. Because of the space and supplies required, only ten spots will be available to make terrariums. If you have any glassware or small items you would like to use with your terrarium, please feel free to bring them along.






Garden Stakes
Wednesday, March 5th, 2:00-4:00pm - GRD 125 TEC Lab
Getting ready to garden? Our laser cutters/engravers can help you create labeled stakes to place in your garden to identify what you’ve planted. No green thumb? Come along to engrave something fun on a coaster. 




Underground Academy: Recycling
Wednesday, March 5th, 4:00pm - GRD 014 TEC SPACE and Zoom

Biology faculty member Janelle Allen will share what happens to waste in our region and how we can partner in our community to reduce our waste footprint and increase human health and the health of our ecosystem. Held in the TEC Space or on Zoom







Know Your Body! - Defense and Your Immune System

Al Cady, professor of Biological Sciences at Miami University Regionals, will take us on a journey through the inner workings of the human body. Get your biology questions answered as Cady shares the secrets of our insides! Held only on Zoom 




National Parks Talks: Death Valley National Park
Tuesday, March 18, 4:30pm to 6:00pm - Zoom
Tammie L. Gerke, teaching professor in Geology at Miami University, introduces attendees to the geology of a national park. Get your geology questions answered and participate in lively discussions! Held only on Zoom
