To bring you up to date on what has recently been added to the collection, a new materials list is now available that reflects additions during July. We added 100 books, e-books, DVDs, and other items during that time, thanks to your selections and suggestions. The list is sorted by call number, with items grouped roughly by subject area.
This tag will show you all of the prior lists of new materials, in reverse chronological order. We are starting off buying materials for 2015/16, and we are eager to hear from you about individual items you would like us to buy, or types of items we should be on the lookout for, or general subject areas we should build up in the collection.
If you have a suggestion of something to order, please use our "Tell GHL to Buy It" form, email Jennifer Hicks or one of our other staff members, or drop by the library with your request. And pass your general suggestions or comments on the collection to us in those same ways.
Thanks again for keeping our collection vibrant and your information needs met!

New library catalog arrives on August 10
Miami University Libraries is switching from our current library catalog to a new one starting on August 10. The catalog will look and function much like our Articles & More database, but will just include books, e-books, DVDs, and other physical and electronic items owned by the libraries.
The catalog will look the same on our website (we'll still call it Books and More):
You may experience some interruption in service while we get the new catalog linked from the GHL website. The catalog will be operational on the University Libraries website starting on the 10th.
If you use the Folder function in the current catalog, you will want to export any saved records for materials that you have in your Folder. Please see the University Libraries blog for more instructions on exporting those records.
If you have any questions about the catalog change, be sure to contact the GHL Staff.

Library materials added in June (and a 2014/15 wrap up)
To bring you up to date on what has recently been added to the collection, a new materials list is now available that reflects additions during May. We added 70 books, e-books, DVDs, and other items during that time, thanks to your selections and suggestions. The list is sorted by call number, with items grouped roughly by subject area.
This tag will show you all of the prior lists of new materials, in reverse chronological order. We have purchased 994 items for the collection since July 2014. We are currently reviewing our ordering activities for the year, and looking for new ways to approach buying materials for 2015/16. We will be seeking input from students, faculty, and staff on the state of the collection and how to better amass the information you need as we start the Fall Semester.
If you have a suggestion of something to order, please use our "Tell GHL to Buy It" form, email Jennifer Hicks or one of our other staff members, or drop by the library with your request.
Thanks again for keeping our collection vibrant and your information needs met!
